The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night stating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and were in contact with the NFL.
The organization did not mention Rice specifically in their announcement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice by name, shared a set of images on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones stated the person involved was the father of her children, and it is known she has two children with the football player, whom the Chiefs drafted in the second round.
No official complaints were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have occurred.
Rice missed the first six games of this season due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals hurt. He was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice finished the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Kansas City finished 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a decade.
