Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
