Indianapolis Colts Face Falcons in Berlin – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Everything good I trust on this excellent morning kickoff to the tenth week coming directly from Germany. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Indianapolis Colts (seven wins and two losses) take on the Atlanta Falcons (three wins and five losses). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from the Olympic figure skater on the coin toss. A slight fluff from the broadcast team there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.

Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have elected to receive. Daniel Jones and company will be setting up shortly. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in their last game?

In a similar vein the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are ever likely to see. The fashion picks are impressive today. We are almost underway after a choir performance for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

And we're off! And we have an exciting start after Jonathan Taylor receives a short throw, gains 15 yards on the outside to the right then fumbles … only for his offensive lineman to recover the fumble with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The gamble fails to pay off as Josh Downs fails to catch a quick pass from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt the Falcons defender put a huge hit on the Colts' tight end. Atlanta's defense started strong as they try and snap their string of three losses. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Score Updates

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was very open but the ball just swishes through his hands. That play rather sums up the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

A disappointing start but it only gets worse for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is hunted down and fumbles the football.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets the running back up to easily run for a touchdown on the next snap. Kicker Michael Badgley misses the point after attempt. Mistake.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a score of their own. Drake London makes some substantial catches to put them in the scoring area then the defense opens up for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for a 13-yard gain. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.

Additional Tenth Week Matchups

Additionally, the full slate starting at 1 PM EST and 6 PM GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:

  • (5-4) Panthers v New Orleans Saints (1-8)

  • (5-3) Chicago Bears v New York Giants (2-7)

  • (3-5) Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)

  • (2-7) Dolphins v Buffalo Bills (6-2)

  • (4-4) Minnesota Vikings v Baltimore Ravens (3-5)

  • (1-7) Jets v Cleveland Browns (2-6)

  • (6-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots (7-2)

An exciting lineup. I’m planting my flag on the Vikings and Ravens playing out the top contest of the day.
