In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets began covering about PlayStation as a new development. The past year represented a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox continues to plan to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
A pair of titles you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.
On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription alone. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
