The Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign

This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a strong ally; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many past official descriptions mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it everything, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for frequently becoming absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its ability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Archer myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
